Glory of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Self-researched

A large marble high-relief altarpiece in the right transept chapel depicting St. Aloysius Gonzaga ascending to heaven with symbols of Penance and Purity above. The monumental altar was designed by Andrea Pozzo. Two cherub sculptures by Le Gros embody the saint's renunciation of worldly honors—one pushing away a globe, the other with a marquis's crown at his feet. The chapel contains a lapis lazuli urn with the saint's remains.
