Arch of Septimius Severus Self-researched

A white marble triumphal arch at the northwestern end of the Roman Forum, dedicated to commemorate the Parthian victories of Emperor Septimius Severus and his two sons, Caracalla and Geta. Standing about 23 meters high and 25 meters wide, it features elaborate relief panels depicting battle scenes. After Caracalla had Geta assassinated, Geta's image and inscriptions were removed from the arch in an act of damnatio memoriae.
