Transfiguration
Summary
The Transfiguration is an event reported in the New Testament in which Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain, traditionally identified as Mount Tabor. Jesus is accompanied by Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and the Prophets, and the voice of God declares Jesus to be his Son.

Transfiguration
Raphael's last painting, left unfinished at his death in 1520 and completed by his workshop. The upper half shows the Transfiguration of Christ on Mount Tabor, while the lower half depicts the Apostles' failed attempt to heal a possessed boy. The painting was displayed at Raphael's funeral and is considered one of his greatest works.
