The largest single sculpture recovered from antiquity. This massive Roman elaborated copy of a Hellenistic sculpture depicts the myth of Dirce being tied to a wild bull by Amphion and Zethus as punishment for mistreating their mother Antiope. Excavated from the gymnasium of the Baths in 1546.
