Italian Gothic sculptor and architect, best remembered for his work on the Doge's Palace and the iconostasis of St Mark's Basilica. He frequently collaborated with his brother Jacobello dalle Masegne. The brothers were the most prominent sculptors active in Venice and the Veneto between 1380 and 1410.

A Gothic rood screen separating the nave from the presbytery, crowned by a tall crucifix flanked by 14 white marble statues depicting the Virgin, St Mark, and the twelve Apostles. Supported by eight columns of red marble. It is the only work in the basilica with the unquestioned signatures of the Dalle Masegne brothers, inscribed on the central section with the date 1394. A masterpiece of Venetian Gothic sculpture.
