Italian Mannerist painter and a notable exponent of the Venetian school. Real name Iacopo Negretti, he was the great-nephew of Palma il Vecchio. He completed Titian's final painting, the Pietà, after the master's death. One of the most prolific painters in Venice after the deaths of Tintoretto and Veronese.
