Filippo Lippi
Born: c. 1406, Florence, Republic of Florence Died: October 8, 1469, Spoleto
Italian Renaissance painter of the Quattrocento and a Carmelite priest. Known as Lippo Lippi, he was influenced by Masaccio. He taught many painters including Sandro Botticelli. His son Filippino Lippi also became a distinguished painter.
