Agnolo di Cosimo, known as Bronzino, was an Italian Mannerist painter from Florence. He became the court painter for Cosimo I de' Medici, producing portraits of the Medici family and religious and allegorical subjects. He is known for his technically brilliant portraits and his complex Mannerist compositions.
