Italian architect and painter who worked for many years with Bramante, Raphael, and later Sangallo on the new St. Peter's. He designed the Villa Farnesina in Rome and served as architect to the Sienese Republic after the Sack of Rome in 1527. He was buried in the Pantheon near Raphael.
