Italian Renaissance painter and etcher, born in Dalmatia in the Republic of Venice. His style combined Mannerist elements with influence from the mainstream of Venetian painting, especially Titian. Contributed three tondi to the Biblioteca Marciana ceiling: "The Government," "The Priesthood," and "The Arms."
